Good evening-

Tonya reports she performed very well today in physical therapy. She performed lots of shoulder exercises to gain strength in her neck. Her favorite is the snow angel and the over the head wonder woman bullet deflection pose. I must admit, I also am a fan. Tonya worked really hard in therapy today. She had to take a few breaks and lay down but when asked if she needed to rest or sleep she said “no way, i need to do more”.

Today’s Highlights:

• Tonya’s wound dressing was removed. It looks great and they want to air it out. No infections!
• Tonya sat up for a marathon 3 plus hours in the chair. She is still supported by the hip high hose and abdominal girdle but her Blood pressure is very stable.
• Tonya has a series of 4 excercises she learned in therapy. She had her therapists write them out and post them on the wall. She is using that as a guide to perform the exercises on her own.
• Tonya can “monkey around n her hospital bed. She pulls her self from side to side and can readjust her position on her own from left to right and up and down. (Two days ago, Tonya had to call the nurses to move her bed, adjust the pillow or the angle of the bed.
• Today was the first day Tonya could be touched on her back without screaming unhappy words.
• Tonya’s physical therapists are Mike, Dan, Colby maybe thats why her neck feels better?
• Tonight’s menu was charbrolied blue fin tuna with meyer lemon pesto sauce , sugar snap peas, grilled asparagus, and garlicky home fries.

Today’s Lowlights

• Tonya has some acute pain sitting down to ” “. Its really uncomfortable she says. The good news is she can ” ” without the large man.
• Tonya can’t help regret that she had the surgery. I think that’s normal but I must say she will need some help not to look back at this point. She is making way to much progress every day.
• Tonya was a bit unerved today when a social worker gave her a target goal for release of April 3rd. I don’t know why this is a lowlight but that freaked her out a bit. I suspect she is already attached to the boy band.

This brings up a good point. On around that week, Tonya will most likely want some visitors in Venice to help her adjust. Hopefully this is where the girl band takes over and we look forward for Shanna, Vivianna, Kristy, Elizabeth and Emily to pop on over to see Tonya at home!

Oh yes, the drum and bass by DJ Hype (Live at Hammersmith Odeon 75) is also a highlight and a welcome change of energy to Tonya. It helps Tonya monke, wonder woman and shake it up. Again, just a few days ago, Tonya was living in the bat cave with little light and lots of beeping monitors.

Prediction– Tonya takes over the blog on Monday which most likely means more rational and easy to read commentary.
